PROGRAMS TO CHECK OUT
Here is a list of local DFW programs that are doing great work in terms of art accessibility. Some are affiliated with larger institutions, while others are grassroots programs to build art involvement from the ground up.
The Kinfolk House is a community-based art collaborative and exhibition space founded by two FWCD parents, Sedrick and Letitia Huckaby. The project recently opened its doors to local artists, educators, and community members.
Mozart in the Bar offers classical music performances by Dallas Symphony Orchestra members in local bars, bringing art out into the community.
Nuestro Kimbell is an initiave to bring Spanish-speaking resources and events to the world-renowned Kimbell Art Museum.
